n this artwork, rocks taken from nature have been approached with a statistical mindset. The location was consciously chosen for its suitability for statistical research and its aesthetic appeal. Every intervention in the space was carefully executed using white water-based paint to ensure no harm was done to the rocks.
As numbers—used by humans to quantify value in daily life—are transferred onto the amorphous forms of nature, a dialogue between nature and humanity is anticipated. This creates a paradoxical image for both passersby and viewers who have walked along that shoreline throughout their lives.
The act of measuring and labeling meaningless objects in the same way as values represents the human tendency to create boundaries for judging and categorizing situations. It serves as a visual representation of internal thought processes, highlighting how humans impose their own limitations on perception.
Ultimately, this work is a response to the meta-perception of the public regarding the measurement of natural objects.
