5th Çanakkale Design Market

The 5th Çanakkale Design Market Took Place at MAHAL!
First launched in 2018, this exciting gathering once again brought together design enthusiasts at MAHAL on June 20–21.

This year’s theme was Upcycle / Creative Reuse. Organized in collaboration with Bordo Bina, Dada Design, and MAHAL Art, the Design Market expanded its boundaries for the first time, welcoming designers from cities such as Istanbul and Sinop.

Centered around concepts such as recycling, conscious consumption, and ecological design, the event featured a diverse program: from experimental surface-making with polyurea materials to creative mask workshops for children; from vegan candle making to design workshops that reinterpreted ancient games.

In addition, talks explored topics such as building connections with nature through play, the evolution of ecological design, and innovative approaches to sustainable production and packaging. Participants both gained inspiration and discovered new perspectives on transformation.

Over two vibrant days, with workshops, talks, and design stands, Çanakkale became a hub where upcycling met creativity.
