Women Workshops

We Are at Biennial Team organized workshops and applications held in different fields like yoga, jewellery, sewing, printmaking from July to October. The last one, the body and performance workshop has been realized at the former Armenian Church by performance artist Nezaket Ekici on 26th September. Another workshop was the study of oral history which combines technical knowledge and practice. Participants have acquired skills of video recording and editing knowledge as well as realized oral history projects about the city’s history with dwellers of Çanakkale; conversed with people who witnessed to urban life closely, the memories and stories have compiled. Considering the individual stories of people, it has aimed to create a different source for culture, history and the social structure of the city. Products of We are in Biennial process exhibited at the State Gallery of Fine Arts during October 2014.
